The XXII Russian Agro-industrial Exhibition «Golden Autumn – 2020» is held at the World Trade Center Moscow

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko and Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

The XXII Russian Agro-industrial Exhibition «Golden Autumn – 2020» https://en.goldautumn2020.ru/ organized annually by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia has begun its work at the World Trade Center Moscow.

The opening ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko and Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev.

In his speech, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted: «The forum has been held for over 20 years. But for the first time almost completely - in online format, primarily because we care about the health of participants and guests. The industry is showing successful examples of digital transformation, and we can see one of them today. We hope that the online business program will expand the audience of the forum, help find new investors for the implementation of significant projects, and acquaint as many people as possible with promising developments».

In her welcoming speech to the participants and visitors of the exhibition, Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko noted: «For many years the exhibition has been a key business event in the field of the agro-industrial complex. It has to present the key achievements of the Russian agro-industrial complex, strengthen the industry's significance and draw additional attention to the main directions of its development. Every year, new trends are set here in increasing the efficiency of agribusiness, digitalizing of agricultural sector and introducing agro-innovations. These themes will be the key ones in the «Golden Autumn» program in 2020».

In the Congress Center of WTC Moscow, where the exhibition core center is located, the delegation examined media studios and a virtual exposition of the «Golden Autumn», visited the stands of the Leningrad, Tyumen, Moscow, Kaliningrad regions and Krasnodar Territory, where the heads of regions and representatives of agribusiness in the videoconference mode talked about the main achievements in the field of agro-industrial complex of the subjects.

In turn, Dmitry Patrushev announced the start of the «Tastes of Russia» national competition - the first stage of a comprehensive program to promote food products that the RF Ministry of Agriculture is implementing on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation. The competition is aimed at finding and popularizing unique «Made in Russia» products. This will make it possible to acquaint consumers with the diversity of tastes in Russia, draw attention to the achievements of small and medium-sized businesses in the agricultural sector, as well as give impetus to the development of small businesses, cooperation, agritourism and create new growth points and development drivers for the country's rural areas.

Dmitry Patrushev said: «In almost every region we have our own unique brands of food products, which in some cases have become the gastronomic «visiting card» of the territory and have gained wide acceptance among consumers. So, for example, our Tambov ham is no worse than the famous Parma ham. And Murom kalach in quality and taste is not inferior to the French baguette. <…> Today we started accepting applications, and in December the expert group will select the most promising of them. As a result of the competition, a large-scale promotion program will be launched, it will allow even closer acquaintance of consumers with the best regional brands of Russia».

Thanks to the hybrid format of the event an unlimited number of visitors to the exhibition have the opportunity to join expert discussions, get acquainted with the key trends in the agro-industrial complex, view the exposition on a specially developed Internet platform.
