WTC MOSCOW celebrates its birthday

To begin with, let us go back to our history.

On June 15, 1973, the Council of Ministers of the USSR adopted a resolution on the construction of a Center for International Trade and Scientific and Technical Relations with Foreign Countries in Moscow. Such a project, uniting under one roof congress center, hotel, exhibition spaces, restaurants, shops and much more, simply did not exist in Moscow or throughout the USSR at that time. On September 1, 1975, a solemn ceremony of laying the WTC Moscow took place on Krasnopresnenskaya embankment. On November 28, 1979, an Order was issued by the Council of Ministers of the USSR on the creation of the All-Union self-supporting association «Sovintcentr» on the basis of the WTC.

It was from this day that the history of our Complex began, which was built in accordance with the highest international standards. Expensive materials were used in the decoration, and engineering and communication systems were supplied by leading foreign firms. Everyone dreamed of getting an office here - modern, equipped with the latest technologies. «Sovinсentr» has become a real island of the West in the very center of Moscow, a meeting place for business people, a place to  exchange  experience and information on the latest trends, the  acquaintance point with the culture of other countries.

WTC Moscow and now remains the leading congress venue in the country, the venue for the largest international events with the participation of the leaders of the countries such as annual press conference of President of Russia Vladimir Putin, VTB Capital «Russia Calling» Forum, «Made in Russia» Forum of the Russian Export Center, International Customs Forum, International Cybersecurity Congress of Sberbank,  International Scientific and Expert Forum «Primakov’s  Readings »  and many other significant events.

On the occasion of the holiday, WTC Moscow has prepared a number of events and invites you to become their participants:

On the Mall street (2nd floor, passage to entrance 6) from November 29 to December 3, a photo exhibition «WTC - A Team of Professionals Working for You» will be hosted, which will introduce you to the divisions of World Trade Center and their employees, who provide conditions for effective every day work , comfortable rest and safe stay of tenants, guests and visitors of the Complex.

On November 29, from 04:00 to 05:00 p.m., on Mall street (2nd floor) «Compliment from the brand chef of the WTC restaurant complex Mikhail Kuznetsov» awaits you. You will see step by step how to make a bright seasonal dish. After you can easily repeat it at home and please your family on winter holidays. Also, the brand chef will tell and show you how to quickly and easily prepare several types of welcome snacks and canapes that can be served to guests on New Year's Eve.

At the end participants will be able to ask questions to our brand chef and taste the prepared dishes. As a souvenir the guests will have the opportunity to take picture with Mikhail Kuznetsov at the thematic photo zone and pick up a detailed recipe for cooking.

In addition, the WTC Moscow restaurant and banquet complex has prepared a festive menu in the canteen and special offers and pleasant bonuses at WTC’s restaurants.

Also, on the occasion of our birthday, we decided to hold a competition «WTC in the lens» with a drawing of prizes.
