More than 300 airlines gathered at the conference at WTC Moscow

15 Sep 2021 – Today the 16th international exhibition and conference MRO Russia & CIS (MRO Russia & CIS) - the main communication platform for industry professionals in Russia and Central Eurasia opened at World Trade Center Moscow.

The event is attended by the heads of 300 airlines, MRO service providers, prominent international experts of the air transport industry, aircraft manufacturers, suppliers of components and spare parts.


The event, traditionally held at the WTC Congress Center, serves as a venue for meetings and negotiations of specialists, provides an opportunity to learn see new products and trends in the industry, and provides ample opportunities for companies to promote products and services in the markets of Russia and the CIS.

According to Boris Rybak, General Director of Infomost Consulting, organizer of MRO Russia & CIS, “today's meeting of experts is extremely relevant, since it takes place in an environment when new global trends in the field of maintenance and repair of aviation equipment are gaining momentum”


In 2020, air transport in Russia demonstrated its resilience, recording a drop in traffic volumes much less than in other countries. In general, (over the past year, according to ICAO), the drop in passenger traffic was about 60% in the world, while Russian airlines reduced the volume of traffic by 46%. Despite the negative effect of the restrictions associated with the pandemic, MRO Russia & CIS is attended by the airline representatives: the number of participants in the event is growing every year and exceeds 1000 people.


The event program: two days of rich business agenda and networking - workshops, an MRO award ceremony and an industry conference "The Present and Future of Aircraft Maintenance" (the only event in Russia and the CIS that is fully dedicated to the current issues of the development of the aircraft maintenance industry. Among the main topics of the conference: key trends in the development of the MRO industry of aviation equipment, digitalization of the MRO industry, Russian and the CIS transportation market forecasts, and airlines development fleet plans.


More than 60 companies (such as Lufthansa Technik, TAG Aero, S7 Technics, Control Towers International, Turkish Technic, Aviaintercom, Moscow Aviation Institute and others) have their expositions on the two floors of the WTC Congress Center.
